I had a great time Sunday enjoying a colorful fall day with Declan, Ian, Jill, and Erik. After taking some shots around home we headed toward the Mississippi River, where there is plenty of fall color right now. We had a pretty good spot, but a couple of friendly runners (who were taking a quick break by their car before the 2nd half of their run) gave us a great tip to head to a new trail on the other side of the river. They were right on, the colors were amazing! We then stopped by Hidden Falls (which I’d never seen before) and ended back up where we started. The same guys were back from the second half of their run, enjoying a growler of IPA, and offered me a glass and some good conversation. I then headed off to photograph a 2nd family and later joined up with friends for “scary movie night” in honor of Halloween. Not a bad way to enjoy Sunday!
