About Me

I'm a Twin Cities (Minneapolis) based photographer with a passion for portraiture and urban skyscapes.  I pride myself on being a bit of an eclectic who takes an interest in all manner of people and places and travel a fair bit, so I try to include other elements of my work into my blog.  My work tends to use a modern style with a mind toward drawing out the edges in life.  I draw inspiration in my portraiture from Greg Gorman, Herb Ritts, Platon, and a handful of other masters of the art.

Whether your a new fan or an old friend, please be sure to leave a comment or drop me a line, I appreciate the feedback or just knowing who I'm reaching on the web.  Thanks for checking out my work!

Thanks!,

Holy StumbleUpon!

Someone just put my Russian blog images on Stumbleupon and it’s getting thousands of hits.  Anyone know how you track one of these links back to find out who discovered you??   http://stumbleupon.com/refer.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fviewfromthetundra.com%2Fpage%2F9%2F

Crazy how much one person can suddenly drive traffic to a website…  Thank you whoever it was for recommending the site.  You can sign up to get email of future postings, or subscribe via RSS if you’re interested.

January 7, 2009 - 12:45 am jb - The stumbleupon user who "discovered" your Russian blog images is Uni-ty (http://uni-ty.stumbleupon.com/). They're from Germany. If you have a stumbleupon account, you can go to the reviews page to see who discovered a particular site. Sometimes it comes up as unknown for a variety of reasons (usually the person un-rated the site, or their account was cancelled) but in this case, Uni-ty was the one listed.
