About Me

I'm a Twin Cities (Minneapolis) based photographer with a passion for portraiture and urban skyscapes.  I pride myself on being a bit of an eclectic who takes an interest in all manner of people and places and travel a fair bit, so I try to include other elements of my work into my blog.  My work tends to use a modern style with a mind toward drawing out the edges in life.  I draw inspiration in my portraiture from Greg Gorman, Herb Ritts, Platon, and a handful of other masters of the art.

Whether your a new fan or an old friend, please be sure to leave a comment or drop me a line, I appreciate the feedback or just knowing who I'm reaching on the web.  Thanks for checking out my work!

Thanks!,

7th Street Entry

7th Street (named for obvious reasons) is the smaller music venue attached to First Avenue (also named for clever reasons). This club (First Ave) was the setting for Purple Rain with Twin Cities native Prince. First Ave has been a launching pad for many bands from the Twin Cities (The Replacements, Soul Asylum, Semisonic, The Jayhawks, etc). The club nearly went down in 2004 for financial reasons, which nearly got us the opportunity to see Mayor RT Ryback do a crowd dive.

It’s definitely a great venue, I was down at First Ave a few weeks ago to see another Minnesota resident, Mason Jennings (Mason, if you ever happen to read this, I’d love to shoot you in concert sometime, I’m a huge fan!)
