About Me

I'm a Twin Cities (Minneapolis) based photographer with a passion for portraiture and urban skyscapes.  I pride myself on being a bit of an eclectic who takes an interest in all manner of people and places and travel a fair bit, so I try to include other elements of my work into my blog.  My work tends to use a modern style with a mind toward drawing out the edges in life.  I draw inspiration in my portraiture from Greg Gorman, Herb Ritts, Platon, and a handful of other masters of the art.

Whether your a new fan or an old friend, please be sure to leave a comment or drop me a line, I appreciate the feedback or just knowing who I'm reaching on the web.  Thanks for checking out my work!

Thanks!,

Hollidazzle

Local blogger Mitch and I met up to shoot the Hollidazzle parade (check out his pics here). Always good to share pain of a cold. It also helped to meet Sam, who runs the “Red Wagon” on the West side of Nicollete just north of the pedestrian bridge you see here at Gaviidae Common. He sells hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, …. everything you need while you spend an hour out in the cold.

The Hollidazzle parade is sponsored by Macy’s, and runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 6:30 between Thanksgiving and Christmas. According to “the Strib“, this is the 16th year of this Minneapolis tradition.

December 7, 2007 - 11:45 am Rob - Cool effect with these long exposures. I'm amazed at the brightness and vibrant colors.

December 8, 2007 - 4:44 pm Brandon - Very nice. I wonder if grabbing a polarizing filter and taking some long exposures from the skyway would produce some interesting shots. Of course the crowds might be tough to deal with, but it would be a lot warmer.
